And We're Off...

So after all the anticipation and hard work (especially by Steph) we are finally headed to China. We are so excited! However, we have to admit, it is a bit tough to leave the youngest two behind. But, we are comforted by the fact that they will be in more than capable hands - Steph's Mom and Dad.

Tomorrow morning we will board a plane in Portland, OR and head up to Seattle, WA. We will be there for 4 hours and then get on a Korean Airlines flight to Seoul, Korea. We have an hour and a half layover there and then board our last flight for getting us into China. We will enter China in Hong Kong and spend the night there.

The next morning we will get on a plane and fly to Nanning, China. It is there we will pick up our first daughter, Anna. This will be around 7pm on Wed. April 21st US time.

The rest of the week will be filled with paperwork as we prepare to go to Guangzhou. We will leave Nanning on Sunday (April 24) and get Zoe on Monday. Now more paperwork, doctor's visits, trip to US consolate and such. We will also have a little downtime.

We will have opportunity to see some friends while in Guangzhou. We look forward to also getting to make some new friends as well.

All of this will take a total of three weeks, and we will return home on Sunday May 9th.

We appreciate all your prayers that things go smoothly, and that the girls adjust quickly. We will continue to update this blog throught the trip.

Hi you guys. Karen just told me a little about your family and your China story. We have two children from China - a 7 year old son, Andrew, and a 3 year old daughter, Grace. I'm looking forward to following your journey. We miss China and can't wait to visit. Have a wonderful trip!

Prayers and blessings,
